Bal Ashram is a safe home for impoverished boys and young men. In addition to providing housing, food, clothing to the youth, who currently range in ages from 14 to 18, we also support them in their primary and secondary education, as well as university study and career development. At the Ashram, the boys are taught yoga and mediation, personal hygiene, nutrition and social skills. Most of all, Bal Ashram provides a safe, clean, disciplined and loving home and family environment where they can flourish.
The Ashram is Babaji’s home when he is in India. It is also headquarters for the Aghor Foundation, which oversees and administers social service programs in Varanasi, and serves as a platform for the Foundation’s spiritual, cultural, vocational and social programs.
